When
you’re creating your presentation, it’s important to know your
audience. You want to do as much research as you can on the
people who will be attending your presentation in advance, so
the presentation addresses their needs. Here are some questions
to help you design an effective presentation:
- What is the profile of the people attending?
- How many people will be attending?
- How does their knowledge of your subject matter match yours?
- How much time do you have? How will you manage the way questions and discussion fit into your time allotment?
- How might your age, gender, background, appearance, or other factors affect your credibility? What can you do to establish credibility?
- What are the actions steps you want the audience to take at the end of the presentation?
